PROMINENT members from the country’s social circle gathered recently to raise funds in an annual charity ball. Funds raised during the event were to benefit the Philippine Cancer Society.
The evening saw the unveiling of the 2014 Best Dressed Women of the Philippines Annual Awards at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. This annual gala event was originally conceptualized by Honorary Chairman Imelda O. Cojuangco.

This year’s event was organized by Best Dressed Women of the Philippines event chairman Angola Consul Helen Ong and Philippine Cancer Society Chairman Dr. Roberto Paterno, together with the selection and organizing committee members Roselle Rebano, Mabel Abaño, Tanzania Consul Betty Chua, Roy Gonzales, Gambia Consul Agnes Huibonhoa, Sandie Poblador, Elaine Rojas Villar and adviser Johnny Litton. The event was a success.

The glamorous night featured a tribute to Fashion Czar of Asia Jose “Pitoy” Moreno, who was part of the selection and organizing committee from 2004 to 2010. The 2014 Style Icons are Rep. Linabelle Ruth R. Villarica, Richwell Trading Corp. owner Myrna Tang Yao and Convergys Philippines Services Corp. Chairman Marife B. Zamora.
