WITH the summer heat showing no signs of letting up, it is the best excuse to hie off to a beach resort far from the city to recharge and work on your tan. For many Filipinos, only one place comes to mind when they talk of vacations: Boracay.

The Henann Group of Resorts recently announced the rebranding of its properties at this famous island destination. Henann Group Chairman Dr. Henry O. Chusuey formally made public the new names in a lavish celebration at the Maynila Ballroom of the Manila Hotel. The event was attended by the member’s of Chusuey’s family, business partners and valued guests.

Henceforth, the Regency Lagoon Resort will now be known as Henann Lagoon Resort, and Boracay Garden Resort as Henann Garden Resort. The Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Spa retains its original name. Two additional properties are presently in development on Boracay Island, a 100-room beachfront resort at Station 1 and another 180-room beachfront resort.

Also made known during the event was the announcement of Henann Resort Alona Beach, which will be opening on the last quarter of 2014, and Henann Resort Malcapuya in Coron, Palawan, which is currently under development. Henann’s individual and corporate partners were also recognized during the event.
